Space is always the biggest challenge in Mumbai homes, and this 3BHK came with its own set of constraints. As a designer who believes every inch counts—even down to where a broom is placed—I was clear that every appliance needed a well-thought-out home.

From the dishwasher to grooming devices, washing machine, dryer, and other essentials, we carefully carved out dedicated spaces across the home.

This guest bathroom, measuring just 6’ x 6’, is a perfect example of smart planning. Despite its compact size, it accommodates a washing machine and dryer, a basin, and efficient storage. A pull-out unit neatly stores detergents, towels, and toiletries, keeping the space clutter-free.

Opposite the machines, we positioned the basin with a mirror above that integrates both lighting and storage. To enhance functionality, we introduced a step-up with a sliding glass partition, effectively separating the dry/service area from the wet zone comprising the shower and WC.

Thoughtful details like built-in niches in the shower area provide easy access to daily essentials. The combination of terrazzo and wooden tiles adds warmth while visually expanding the space. Overhead, the ceiling features openable lofts that cleverly conceal the geyser, maintaining a clean and seamless look.
